Annual Report Dashboard
Purpose and Scope
The Annual Report Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of UTRGV’s research performance, focusing on research expenditures, proposals, awards, and key projects. It enables users to analyze financial metrics, top sponsors, and unit-specific contributions to research activities.
Data Sources and Structure
The dashboard pulls data from the Division of Research's annual reports, covering fiscal years 2020 to 2025. It is structured into three pages: Research by the Numbers, Top Sponsors, and Top 10 Awards, offering both unit-level and overall institutional insights.
Key Metrics and Visualizations
Key metrics include total research expenditures, restricted and unrestricted research awards, proposals submitted, and the top 10 awards and sponsors. Visualizations include comparison tables for year-over-year financial data and a detailed breakdown of top research awards.
User Manual: Annual Reports
Filters and Slicers:
- FY (Fiscal Year): Allows users to filter data by specific fiscal years (2020-2025).
- By Unit: Filters the data based on the various colleges and schools at UTRGV, such as College of Education, College of Fine Arts, College of Sciences, etc.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Research by the Numbers: Displays key research expenditure metrics for the years 2024 and 2023. The KPIs here include:
