CHAPS & The Girls Scouts of Greater South Texas

The CHAPS program at UTRGV is dedicated in engaging young people in the study of local history and archaeology.

Since 2018, CHAPS has partnered up with the Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas and has developed activities for the scouts to earn patches. Below you will find downloadable activities for Troop Leaders to assign to their scouts. If you have any questions, or wish to schedule a Traveling Trunk demonstration, Leaders may schedule an appointment with a CHAPS representative who will bring along the CHAPS Traveling Trunk for scouts to explore.

To schedule a Traveling Trunk demonstration, please contact the CHAPS Program Manager: Roseann Bacha Garza. She can be reached at (Office) 956-665-3231 or (Cell) 956-578-5083 or emailed at roseann.bachagarza@utrgv.edu.
