Why UTRGV?
I chose UTRGV because it allows me to stay close to home while receiving a quality education. Being near my family and community is important to me, and UTRGV provides the perfect balance of affordability, academic excellence, and career opportunities.

What made you decide on your current major?
I chose Marketing because it allows me to explore my creativity while also developing strategic and analytical skills. I enjoy coming up with innovative ideas, creating engaging content, and finding unique ways to connect with audiences.

What do you hope to achieve beyond completion of your major?
I aspire to build a career in digital marketing that not only helps brands grow but also allows me to give back to my community. Through networking and continuous learning, I hope to make a meaningful difference in both the industry and my community.

What do you like most about UTRGV?
I love the strong sense of community at UTRGV and the opportunity to connect with professors one-on-one. It creates a supportive environment that makes learning more engaging and personal.

What does being a Vaquero mean to you?
Being a Vaquero means being part of a supportive community, embracing opportunities, and taking pride in UTRGV. It’s about growth, connection, and giving back.

What opportunities has UTRGV helped you find throughout your community?
UTRGV has given me incredible opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. While attending school, I’ve been able to complete three internships, gaining hands-on experience in my field. I’ve also had the chance to join student organizations, allowing me to connect with like-minded peers, build my network, and give back to the community. These experiences have shaped my career path and prepared me for the future.

What advice do you have for fellow students pursuing their degrees?
My advice to students is to work hard, stay persistent, and trust God’s timing. Challenges may come, but everything happens for a reason. Stay patient, keep pushing forward, and believe that the right opportunities will come at the right time.
