Abstract Narratives through the Glass an Art Exhibit by Angela Scardigno
Abstract Narratives through the Glass is a series of small size digital collages that reference Edward Hopper's paintings, especially his period between 1920-1960. These paintings are translated into abstract landscapes with shapes, colors, and textures. The challenge for the artist is to reflect in each representation of her own temperament, leaving Hopper's aura intact. Scardigno works at the Center for Latin American Arts, and this experience exposes Scardigno to new and exciting projects and connections that can be added to her portfolio of digital and mixed medias. As Scardigno expands by her creative production by designing digital works such as posters and web content, the Center also promotes her existing bodies of work through exhibitions.
