CLAA Artists’ and Writers’ Summit and Workshop: Cultivating Compassion for Migrants through Fine Arts and Prose

This virtual exhibition that has grown out of the events of the CLAA Artists' Summit seeks to develop a community sense of place among young artists to address issues related to discourses on the borderlands. The CLAA's focus is to give border residents a voice to share their experiences about immigration through art and other creative works. This virtual exhibition and the workshop it grew out of provides a venue for artists wishing to cultivate peace, awareness, and understanding through art and the written word. Artists Sister Norma Pimentel, Luis Corpus, Olga Alanis, and Rigoberto A. González have created artworks that share stories and speak metaphorically about immigration and culture on the border.
