Requesting Dissertations

You can request dissertations held by other libraries. Many dissertations are now available online, so please search for it online first before submitting.

If a dissertation is found online, ILL staff will cancel the request and provide you with a link.

If the dissertation is not available, you can request it through ILL. Choose "dissertation" from the menu on the left on your ILLiad account home page.

Please bear in mind that some libraries only keep one copy of dissertations in their holdings. Often lending libraries will put more restrictions on them (Library Use Only, photocopying restrictions). Some libraries will not be willing to lend the material via ILL. In this case, we will cancel the request.
