How Do I Renew My ILL Item?
Many of the lending libraries are willing to allow renewals for their ILL items. The renewal request must be submitted before the due date (5 days before due date). ILL items cannot be renewed through your Library account. Renewals must be done through your ILLiad account. Please follow these steps to renew:
- Log in to your ILLiad account and click on the "Checked Out Items" tab on the left.
- Click on the transaction number of the item you with to renew. If item is renewable, you should see a "Renewal Request" link above the item information.
- Clicking the link will grant you a four day extension while the request is reviewed by the lending library. If your renewal request is approved, we will send you an e-mail with new due date. If your renewal request is denied, we will also send you an e-mail letting you know.
Please bear in mind that renewals are granted by the lending library. If your renewal request is denied, please return item on due date and submit another request for the item.
