Departments

Border Studies Archive

The Border Studies Archive (BSA) is a repository for the culture and heritage of the borderlands of deep south Texas and houses collections relating to the unique folklore, histories, and lives of people living along the U.S.-Mexican border in South Texas.

Cataloging

Contains information about the Library's Cataloging Department.

Circulation and Reserves

Contains information about the Library's circulation, borrowing policies, and course reserves.

Collection Development

Collection Development is responsible for selecting library materials,including books, journals, databases, media materials, etc. The department also accepts donations for the Library, and has other responsibilities regarding Library resources.

Interlibrary Loan

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Office borrows research materials that are not owned by University Library.

Open Scholarship

Contains information about the Open Scholarship department at the Library.

Research and Instructional Services

The Research and Instruction Department promotes critical thinking, self-discovery, and ethical participation in diverse learning communities.

Special Collections and Archives

Special Collections and University Archives holds primary source (original) and secondary source materials such as correspondence, business files, maps, slides, ledgers, books, ephemera, newspapers, journals, newsletters, oral histories, and photographs regarding the cultural heritage and history of our region.
