There are two types of SAS student categories, new and current. Each one follows a different registration process. To learn more, select below the category of your interest.

| Student New to SAS | Students who are transitioning from high school or transferring from a college or university to UTRGV and who have not registered with UTRGV Student Accessibility Services previously; Students who are currently UTRGV students but have not previously registered with Student Accessibility Services. |
| Current SAS Student | Students who are currently registered with SAS; Students who were previously registered with SAS and received accommodations or other accessibility services during the last academic year (Note: Students who were not registered with Student Accessibility Services during the last year should request an intake appointment). |
