Child Development Center
Welcome to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Child Development Center where we provide child care services to our UTRGV students, faculty, and staff. Our developmental early childhood program is available to children from 3 months to 5 years old. We offer a variety of diverse and creative learning opportunities in a caring and nurturing environment. We focus on the whole child, considering all the child’s developmental needs – physical, social, emotional, and cognitive for a lifetime of educational success.
- Offer full-time care Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Provide children with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
- Offer Frog Street Curriculum which focuses on the developmental needs of the children and new concepts and skills in early literacy, math, and science.
- Help for Pell-eligible, low-income student-parents pay for child-care services provided by the U.S. Department of Education Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Grant.

Child Care Assistance
Your family may be eligible to receive financial assistance to cover some or all costs for child care while you attend school. The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), provide subsidized child care for eligible families through your local office which can be found using guide from Workforce Solutions Child Care Services.
