Our Mission

Student Accessibility Services exists to facilitate students’ equal access to university programs and services, promote student learning and development, foster independence and self-advocacy, and provide leadership to the campus on disability issues.

Did you know

SAS provided 2 professional development opportunities for faculty and staff during Fall 2021. 100% of survey respondents indicated that these sessions contributed to their understanding on how they can assist students with disabilities and “be better prepared” and “keep accessibility in mind for online courses." Fall 2021 Student Satisfaction Survey results showed 86% of SAS students reported accommodations received contributed to their sense of belonging at UTRGV while 87% of students reported SAS accommodations contributed to their academic success.
