Our Mission
Student Accessibility Services promotes equitable access and meaningful participation for students with disabilities through a student-centered collaborative approach. We provide disability-related guidance to the campus community, support student learning, and foster independence and self-advocacy.
Did you know
SAS provided 2 professional development opportunities for faculty and staff during Fall 2021. 100% of survey respondents indicated that these sessions contributed to their understanding on how they can assist students with disabilities and “be better prepared” and “keep accessibility in mind for online courses." Fall 2021 Student Satisfaction Survey results showed 86% of SAS students reported accommodations received contributed to their sense of belonging at UTRGV while 87% of students reported SAS accommodations contributed to their academic success.
