ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION
An enrollment verification is an official document that confirms a current student’s enrollment status, anticipated graduation date, and proof of attendance as appropriate. This verification is commonly requested by lending agencies, insurance providers, banks, employers, and other organizations for purposes such as loan deferment, benefits eligibility, or application requirements.
Students:
Students should contact registrar@utrgv.edu from their campus email address with enrollment verification requests. Students should include their student ID number. Allow 5 to 7 business days for processing.
Alternatively, students may submit an enrollment verification request online through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) for a formal enrollment verification. You may visit NSC Verification Services to submit your request.
Employers and Other Third Parties:
Enrollment verifications requested by lending agencies or third parties must be submitted through the National Student Clearinghouse using its Verification Services, or by phone at 703‑742‑7791. Enrollment verifications for personal use (such as insurance or employment purposes) may also be requested through the National Student Clearinghouse or by contacting U Central. Any requests directed to the office of the University Registrar will not be processed, and requesters will be redirected to the NSC.
Undergraduate and Graduate Enrollment Status:
Enrollment statuses vary for students according to the number of credit hours enrolled in, as well as student type (undergraduate or graduate). Minimum credit hours for each status and student type can be found in the published Academic Catalogs.
DEGREE VERIFICATION
Students:
Log in to the National Student Clearinghouse to request a degree verification. Degree verifications will be available to print after degrees have been officially certified for the term.
Once your degree has been certified, you may also request an official transcript that reflects your awarded degree.
Please note:
- If your degree has not been certified and you need a letter stating that you will complete your degree requirements at the conclusion of a term, please contact Office at the University Registrar at registrar@utrgv.edu using your assigned UTRGV email address.
Employers and Other Third Parties:
Any third-party (including employer) requests sent directly to the office of the University Registrar will not be processed, and requesters will be redirected to the NSC Verification Services.
