UTRGV provides a unique combination of excellent education and cultural connections that I might not find elsewhere.

What made you decide on your current major?
I chose my major because of my passion for the field of marketing. I’ve always been fascinated by how marketing shapes the way we connect with others, especially in the sports world. The idea of bringing creativity and strategy together to make an impact in the sports industry excites me the most about this career path.

What do you hope to achieve beyond completion of your major?
I aim to work in the sports industry, specifically in marketing. My goal is to contribute to the promotion and growth of sports organizations, helping them connect with fans and communities in meaningful ways. I want to be part of shaping memorable experiences for sports lovers while advancing my career in a field I’m truly passionate about.

These experiences have enriched my time at UTRGV and strengthened my connection to the community.

What advice do you have for fellow students pursuing their degrees?
My advice is to avoid comparing your journey to others. Everyone has their own path, and it’s important to stay focused on your progress. Keep a positive mindset, trust the process, and don’t be afraid to seek help or take breaks when needed.
