The United Together Caring Adults Reaching Early Childhood Students (U.T.C.A.R.E.S.) is a student organization that advocates for the well being of all young children in the RGV community. UTCARES provides experiences that promote social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development.
Goals- Improve the quality of educational experiences for all young children and their families through community involvement projects.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for all members by attending educational conferences and workshops and recruiting professional speakers.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the community by assisting various programs that provide for the needs of young children.

Improve the quality of life for children in our community through participation in events such as: December Giving Elves Project, Spring Dia del Niño/Dia del Libro, RGV Food Bank, Mujeres Unidas, FESTIBA Community Day, Summer School Art Bags, Books-and-Treats, UTRGV Mobile Literacy Unit.
Every year, UTCARES donates over $1,000 worth of shoes, clothing, books, and toys. Over 800 books donated to children in the community during its annual Dia del Libro Celebration!
