Welcome to the College of Education and P-16 Integration (CEP) at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). UTRGV CEP offers a variety of degree programs (doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s) and certifications across multiple specializations. Our five academic departments consist of Bilingual and Literacy Studies, Counseling, Human Development and School Services, Organization and School Leadership, and Teaching and Learning.
Established in 2015, UTRGV CEP aims to develop highly qualified, multi-culturally responsive leaders and scholars to become catalysts for educational success in the Rio Grande Valley and society at large.
From our nationally accredited Educator Preparation Program to our partnerships with regional school districts, we provide our students with valuable resources and opportunities to succeed.

We prioritize research that meets the interests and challenges of our borderlands region.
Vision
The College of Education and P-16 Integration is set to serve the Rio Grande Valley and beyond as a model of a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) that strives to lead the inclusive preparation of diverse educators, education leaders, education researchers, as well as the conduction of community-oriented research that in due course reaches a national impact.
