PRIMARY ACADEMIC TITLE: Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Claudia Biguetti earned her DDS in 2012 and her MS and PhD in osteoimmunology and biomaterials in 2018. She spent eight years working as a clinical adjunct faculty and a researcher in Brazil before moving to the United States in 2020 for postdoctoral research in Biomedical Engineering at UT Dallas. Since 2022, she has been an Assistant Professor at UTRGV and Principal Investigator of the Research Lab of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Biguetti's research focuses on immunomodulatory mechanisms in bone healing and biomaterial integration. She has received funding from UTRGV internal grants, the UT System - Rising Stars, and the NIH, with ongoing support from these sources. She has authored or co-authored over 55 peer-reviewed scientific articles and two book chapters.
