- Continuously create opportunities for your student to apply classroom learning in hands-on work experiences.
Hiring a Student Employee
This section is a tool for supervisors to easily access the information needed to hire new and returning student employees. One of the Student Employment Office's goals is to provide a “one-stop shop site” option to facilitate your role as supervisor. All on-campus positions for student employees should be filled through positions posted on the Handshake platform. Before being able to view these job postings, your user account needs to be created by a student employment coordinator. For user access, contact studentemployment@utrgv.edu.
Additional steps would need to be taken when hiring a student worker who is under 18 years old. For more information please read Texas Child Labor Law or contact studentemployment@utrgv.edu.
