Coaching at UTRGV
Intro
- Self-request
- Supervisor request
After an interest form is successfully submitted, a coach will reach out to schedule a brief discovery call to determine next steps. A submission of an interest form itself does not automatically guarantee a coaching engagement.
The interest form is available at the bottom of this webpage. Please note that all coaching engagements (with internal & external coaches) are being managed through the Office of Human Resources. If you are currently working with an external coach, sponsored/engaged by UTRGV, please contact us at coaching@utrgv.edu.
For any additional questions, please contact us at coaching@utrgv.edu
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals. Coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.
A coaching session is designed to ask questions that create space for self-reflection that will turn into action to help achieve goals in both professional and personal life
