Will the program accept past events? How far back?

We will be accepting events only for the academic year.

Will the program have events for every major?

We are not having events for every major. Only events that are pre-selected.

Will I receive credit for being in Athletics/ Intramural Sports?

Only the team captain role will be given credit.

Who will be tracking completion?

At the end of the program, SEO will review.

What am I getting out of the program?

Designed to provide existing UTRGV students with the career readiness framework through the attendance of extra-curricular activities aimed at any field of study. The program will provide experience, resources, and overall mastery of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career readiness competencies to better prepare students for their future in the career of their choice. The College to Career - A Career Prep Series will enable UTRGV students to become more competitive in the job market by bringing forth any latent skills through the exposure of events that align with the NACE career readiness competencies.

If I don’t attend orientation or register online, will I be able to join the program?

No, students must attend an orientation meeting.

If I find out about the program mid semester, after orientation has already passed. Can I start the program?

You would need to wait until the following semester or academic year.

If I am a senior and I only have the 2 competencies to complete, am I going to have the option to complete the other competencies (competencies for other classification)?

Yes, the student may complete as many competencies as they want.
