Resource Description

University Police

The University of Rio Grande Valley Police Department protects and serves the campus community of students, faculty, staff and visitors by providing professional law enforcement services and actively promoting community involvement through progressive community policing partnership strategies and a commitment to education.

Vaquero Crisis Line

The Vaqueros Crisis Line is a 24/7 confidential* helpline for enrolled UTRGV students experiencing an emotional crisis that may include suicidal thinking, thoughts of harming self or other, confusion, panic, or otherwise feeling distressed. A trained counselor will be available on the line to provide assistance.

TimelyCare

TimelyCare is a set of 24/7 online mental health and wellness support services that include counseling, emotional support, health coaching, and more.

Counseling Center

Our office provides free and confidential counseling services for UTRGV students to address mental health concerns, and seeks to promote personal growth and well-being among our campus community through education and outreach activities.

CampusShield

CampusShield connects you directly with campus police, while also providing convenience and helping you to save time.  When the EMERGENCY Button is pressed, campus police is directly called. Location information is also sent to help cut down on response time.
