The office is a resource connecting students who are navigating personal or academic issues to supportive campus and community resources, serving as student advocates, and promoting students' rights and responsibilities.
The Dean of Students is responsible for several units and programs: Student Accessibility Services; Student Food Pantry; Center for Student Involvement; Student Media; Student Rights and Responsibilities, and provides support for students formerly in foster care.
Mission
The Dean of Students Office fosters a community of care for all students by providing compassionate guidance, holistic support, and connections to resources that promote well‑being, belonging, self‑advocacy, and engagement in campus life. Our goal is to empower students to overcome challenges, grow personally, and succeed in their pursuits at UTRGV and beyond.
