Dean of Students
The role of the Dean of Students is to provide care and support to students by ensuring that issues are properly addressed and to facilitate opportunities that help meet their academic and personal goals. The office is a resource connecting students who are navigating personal or academic issues to supportive campus and community resources, serve as student advocates, and promote students’ rights and responsibilities.
The Dean of Students is responsible for several units and programs that make up Student Life at UTRGV, which include the Center for Diversity & Inclusion and DREAM Resource Center; Student Accessibility Services; Student Food Pantry; Center for Student Involvement; Student Media; Student Rights and Responsibilities, and provides support for students formerly in foster care.
