Internship Opportunities

Internship Opportunities in Case Management

Are you passionate about supporting student well-being and helping others navigate challenges? The UTRGV Case Management Team offers hands-on internship opportunities for students pursuing careers in Social Work.

What Interns Gain

  • Work directly with professional staff in supporting students in distress.
  • Learn how to connect students to campus and community resources.
  • Develop skills in problem-solving, crisis response, and holistic student support.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case consultations.
  • Gain insight into FERPA, Title IX, and student privacy considerations.
  • Contribute to outreach, education, and prevention programming.

Eligibility

Interns must:

  • Be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Meet all academic requirements set by their academic department.
  • Be available for a minimum number of hours per week (varies by program).
  • Complete a background check and onboarding process through UTRGV.

How to Apply

To express interest in an internship with the Case Management team:

  1. Complete our Internship Interest Form
  2. Submit your resume and a brief statement of interest to wellbeing@utrgv.edu
  3. We will reach out to schedule an informational meeting or interview. Please note: Internship placements may be limited and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
