UTeach RGV is a middle and high school mathematics and science teacher preparation and certification program that promotes inquiry-based learning and instruction. We prepare highly skilled, inspiring educators with deep subject expertise through integrated and cohesive coursework with early and consistent community-based teaching experiences.
Goals:
- Foster, review, and improve UTeach policies, processes and activities for preparing and supporting secondary mathematics and science educators.
- Seek and support faculty and staff who embrace the UTeach model of teacher preparation.
- Provide a robust and effective learning experience for UTeach students.
- Encourage UTeach engagement and collaboration on a broad scale, both on- and off-campus.
- Conduct research on the impact of UTeach graduates in secondary schools.
