Mission
The Department of Information Systems offers cutting-edge curriculum and STEM-certified degree programs in information systems and business analytics at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Students develop their technical skills in programming, database, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data visualization, cybersecurity, big data analytics, healthcare analytics, and more through hands-on exercises using industry-standard tools such as Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark. Our accelerated online Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) was ranked #17 Best Online Master’s in Business Analytics 2024 by Fortune Education.
The Information Systems faculty are thought leaders in their respective research areas and have published in leading information systems and business journals such as Information Systems Research, Decision Sciences, Production and Operations Management, and Journal of Management Information Systems. Our faculty have mentored doctoral students in the Information Systems concentration of the Ph.D. in Business Administration program with placements in leading universities such as Syracuse University, Washington and Lee University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
