UTRGV’s regional accrediting body, SACSCOC, announced that UTRGV has been placed on probation.

Both the Faculty Senate and a group of students have recently delivered documents expressing concerns about students’ safety in light of the current political climate.

Today, the SACS Commission on Colleges (COC) notified UTRGV that it is being placed on probation for the next twelve months. Please note that during this time, UTRGV remains fully accredited and the academic and administrative operations of the institution will continue as they have in the past.
