UTRGV will participate in its first State Employee Charitable Campaign this year. I want to thank all of you who came out to The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Tour of Texas for your support. Traveling to Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Weslaco (where our Valley reception was held) provided me with a unique opportunity to meet some of the alumni, donors, partners, and friends who have helped make The University of Texas at Brownsville / Texas Southmost College and The University of Texas-Pan American such special places.

May 5, 2015

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kelly Overley Cronin as Vice President for Advancement for UTRGV. She will join the university on May 11.

UTRGV represents the opportunity of a lifetime for all of us – a chance to build on the legacy of two fine universities in constructing an institution that will offer students in the Rio Grande Valley the same kinds of educational opportunities that students in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and the rest of Texas take for granted.
