HESTEC 2016 Teacher of the Year - Rebeca Gonzalez

Rebeca Gonzalez, HESTEC 2016 Teacher of the Year is attending the 2017 AP Annual Conference on July 28-29, 2017 in Washington D.C. She teaches Pre-AP classes in Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus and Calculus at Port Isabel High School.

The AP Annual Conference is the largest professional development gathering of the Advanced Placement Program® (AP) and Pre-AP® communities. Participants attend conference sessions and discover proven methods for increasing equity and access to the AP Program. They explore dozens of exhibits featuring new textbooks and classroom technologies and have a chance to connect with new and experienced teachers of all 38 AP courses, AP Chief Readers, AP coordinators, counselors, superintendents, and principals.

The Division of Governmental and Community Relations congratulates Rebecca and wishes her the best at the conference.
