Work-Study for On-Campus Supervisors
UTRGV has several opportunities that help students earn wages through the Work-Study Program.
Work-Study is a financial aid-based program that assists students seeking part-time student employment. This “self-help” aid helps students develop professional skills and experience by working on campus. Students earn their Work-Study award through part-time student employment.
Why choose a work-study job over a direct wage job?
Choosing a Work-Study employee helps you save money! The Work-Study grant is a financial aid program that pays 100% of the wages for Work-Study student employees. This assists in subsidizing the costs associated with hiring student employees. Best of all, it helps departments fund more student employment positions through these savings.
Note: Work-Study funding is based on the student’s eligibility and funding availability. Once Work-Study funds have been exhausted, students can still be hired as Direct Wage!
