Traditions Keeper

The Traditions Keeper program invites students to explore UTRGV spirit and build campus connections by participating in time-honored events and meaningful experiences that bring the Vaquero community together. 

Whether you’re attending your first campus event or cheering at a game with friends, Traditions Keeper helps you create memories, feel part of something bigger, and proudly call UTRGV home.

How It Works

Students complete activities across a variety of campus life categories. As you check off traditions, you’ll track your progress on V Link Points to Become The Traditions Keeper.

Rewards

Traditions Keeper awards top students every semester with the following rewards:

1st $250 V Bucks, Graduation Medallion and Pin
2nd $200 V Bucks, Graduation Medallion and Pin
3rd $150 V Bucks, Graduation Medallion and Pin
4th - 10th Graduation Medallion and Pin
11th - 50th Pin

Overview of Rules

By logging into V Link you are automatically enrolled in Traditions Keeper.

Students may only win prizes once per academic year. Design will be modified to reflect school year.

Points reset and update each semester.

Awards are determined by students’ ranking within the Points system. Visit Points on V Link to view your ranking.

Students cannot earn duplicate points by attending the same event on different campuses.

You can view upcoming events that count towards Traditions Keeper on the V Link point widget.
