Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the official representation of the entire student body. Our purpose is to address student concerns and petitions and participate in the university community's overall policy and decision-making processes. SGA's representative structure comprises three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.
Mission
Our mission is to proactively represent and serve the collective means to address student concerns. In addition, we create supportive environments that enhance the quality of the student experience at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, while preserving traditions and increasing spirit. By promoting honesty, integrity, and respect, SGA facilitates student success in their academic and community endeavors.
