First Year Internship
The First Year Internship (FYI) is a leadership program for first-year students that develops the future leaders in the Student Government Association. Entering freshmen and transfer students gain hands-on experience by becoming involved in the day-to-day operations of SGA. The FYI Director will facilitate bi-weekly trainings and team building activities. A current SGA member will serve as a mentor to the intern. Interns will be taught to conduct research and develop legislation, shape policy, and organize important campus outreach and community service activities.
