Risk Management Training
Required by law. Two student officers and one advisor must complete it annually.
- Attend at the LEAD Conference in September
- Submit the Risk Management Certification on V Link by Friday, October 31, 2025.
- Topics include hazing, safety, conduct, and emergency protocols.
2025 Student Organization Risk Management Training Completion Form - Due Oct. 31, 2025
All logos, flyers, social media graphics, event titles, and promotional materials must follow official UTRGV identity guidelines.
This includes:
- No use of UTRGV logos, seal, wordmarks, or the Vaquero mascot
- No unofficial fonts, colors, or alterations to official graphics

Need help? Email CSI at getinvovled@utrgv.edu before designing materials.
Invite guest speakers from outside UTRGV? Submit the Off-Campus Speaker Form at least 5 business days in advance.
Note: This form is not required if the individual is a UTRGV faculty, staff, or student speaking in the capacity of their official role.
Serving or selling food? Every handler must complete UTRGV’s Food Handler Training (valid 2 years).
When submitting your event request through V Link , upload the Food Safety Training Certificates.
Student Org Resources & Services
CSI provides limited quantities of equipment and materials to help student organizations plan and promote events. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis and requires an approved request form.
Need Equipment? Student organizations can borrow items such as:
- 6 ft. Tables
- Chairs
- Ice chests
- Dollies
- Tents
- Speakers
- Fans
Equipment Request Forms are available at the CSI offices in Brownsville (BSTUN 1.28) and Edinburg (EUCTR 205).
Equipment may be requested on the day of use, subject to availability.
Items can be checked out Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and must be returned by 5:00 PM on the same day.
Print Services
CSI supports organizations with print requests including:
- Flyers
- Posters
- Laminating
- Cutting
- Flyer reviews
Note:
- Requests must be submitted on V Link and approved before services are provided.
- Yearly limits apply per student organization.
- Allow time for processing and review.
