Family Day is one of our signature involvement events where students and their families come together to experience the energy and spirit of UTRGV. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning Vaquero family, this event is your chance to connect with your student, explore campus life, and enjoy a day full of fun, food, and community. 

We welcome all kinds of families—parents, siblings, children, extended family, and chosen family. Everyone is invited to be part of the celebration!

Family Day brings together students and their loved ones for a fun, meaningful day of activities, connection, and Vaquero pride. 

Anyone your student considers family is welcome, this includes parents, grandparents, siblings, partners, children, and close friends. 

Yes! RSVPs help us plan food, materials, and giveaways.  

Family Day is free for students and their guests. 

We recommend comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and a smile! All supplies and food will be provided.
