Dr. Javier Cavazos

Have you ever wanted to conduct research on teaching practices or student learning but worry about logistics of creating a comparison group? One alternative is a paired-sample t-test with estimates of Percent Improvement (Lenz, 2021). After attending this session, participants will learn how a paired sample t-test and estimates of percent improvement can be used in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Participants will discover a real example of how this research design and statistical analysis can be used to improve teaching and learning practices.
