12twenty Launch
The Career Center will launch 12twenty at UTRGV, our new career management platform, on April 20, 2026. 12twenty will replace Handshake, which will shut down on June 30, 2026. During this transition, students and alumni will have temporary access to Handshake and are encouraged to download their application materials and other documents to transfer over to 12twenty.
12twenty will provide many similar features as Handshake where you can:
- Schedule an appointment with a career advisor or participate in Drop-In Hours.
- Explore events and register for workshops, information sessions, career fairs, and more.
- Participate in mentoring programs to connect with peers and alumni for career advice.
- Upload your application materials (i.e., resume, cover letter, personal statement, etc.), apply for jobs and internships, and sign up for interviews.
- Create and manage a list of target employers that you are excited about working for.
- Record your internship as an Outcome to build your professional profile and track your experiential learning.
As we prepare to launch 12twenty at UTRGV, we will bring you new information on features and tools to maximize your professional development and career launch. For more information, please email careercenter@utrgv.edu.
