IRIS Booth

The UTRGV Career Center is excited to provide UTRGV students, faculty and staff with access to professional headshots.  The IRIS Pods produce high-quality headshots for students, staff, alumni and faculty are located on the Brownsville Campus in BINAB 1.105 and on the Edinburg Campus in ESTAC 2.101. 

They are available for use during Career Center business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Individuals can use the pod free of charge by entering a valid email address, accepting the terms of usage and following the remaining instructions. No appointment is necessary.

Professional headshots play a vital role in shaping your personal brand. They are commonly utilized in various contexts, including:

  • Social Media
  • Handshake
  • LinkedIn
  • Websites
  • Presentation, Press, Promotional or Panel Materials

Investing in a professional headshot can enhance your visibility and credibility across these platforms.

Only one person is permitted in the booth at a time. Please respect the privacy of individuals who are taking photos before and after your session.

The booth operates on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask that you honor this process, with an average session time of approximately 5 minutes.

There is no charge for using the booth.

The booth is designated solely for professional headshots. Please be mindful of others waiting and ensure you are using the booth for its intended purpose. All photos will be reviewed by professional staff; inappropriate photos are not permitted.

We encourage users to dress appropriately, such as wearing a jacket with a dress shirt or a nice blouse.

Users will have the opportunity to digitally edit their photos after downloading them post-session.

All users must provide a valid email address to utilize the booth. We recommend using your UTRGV email address, as the Iris domain has been approved by the UTRGV network. You will receive email communications with instructions for establishing an Iris account and downloading your headshots.

Before your photo session, you must enter your email address and accept the terms and conditions.

Please do not move the stool within the booth, as it is positioned to optimize photo quality. You may adjust the height as instructed by the booth.

After entering your email address and accepting the Terms of Use, the booth will provide guidance on how to take the best photos.
