Registered students pay a Medical Service Fee each semester, which entitles them to a wide variety of Health Services. Students can see a health care provider as many times per semester as needed, with no office visit charge. There are charges for many services and procedures to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, such as for laboratory and pharmacy services, but these charges are much lower than those for comparable services provided elsewhere.

The UTRGV Student Food Pantry assists students by providing food supplements to those who have been impacted by financial challenges/conditions and subsequently are experiencing difficulty meeting their basic need of adequate nutrition. The food pantry will distribute nonperishable food supplements to currently enrolled students at UTRGV.
