The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s Travel and One Card Office oversees is here to guide you through the process of planning a business trip or payment for non restricted goods within your monthly and single purchase limits that are not available through the electronic Procurement site (iShopUTRGV).

Our office is ready to assist you through the booking process, credit card application process, and guide you in how to maintain and reconcile your travel expenses and/or One Card.

Travel Restrictions

Effective November 19, 2024, Governor's Executive Order No. GA-48 imposes travel restrictions on the following regions: China, Cuba, Hong Kong, Iran, North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), Macau, Russia, and Venezuela.

Travel Advisory

March 2026

Travel to Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus continues to be suspended until further notice. Effective immediately, travel to Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia is also suspended.

One Card

One Card Program Welcome to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's Credit Card Program. The Credit Card Program is authorized by the State of Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts through a contract with a credit card bank. The Credit Card may be used with any vendor that accepts MasterCard as a form of payment. The Credit Card Program is authorized by a State of Texas contract with U.S. Bank via the Texas Procurement and Support Services (TPASS). The Credit Card combines the functionality of a traditional purchasing card with the functionality of a travel card allowing authorized employees to use the Credit Card for purchase, travel, and business expenses. This program will reduce the time and effort required to make payments for university purchase s and reduce out-of-pocket expenses. The use of the Credit Card does not exempt the university or its officers and employees from the purchasing/travel requirements of state and federal law and the TPASS. The Credit Card will be issued in the cardholder's name with the State of Texas emblem and the wording "Official Use Only" clearly indicated on the card. Application

Interested in becoming part of the One Card Program? Create a new entry and complete required trainings (will be emailed separately).

Receipt Acknowledgement

Did you just receive your new One Card? Create a new entry to acknowledge that the card is in you possession and activated.

Increase Request

UTRGV monthly limits are as follows: Single Swipe: $5,000 Monthly: $15,000 Create a new entry to request an increase if you will be exceeding the limits during the bill cycle (4th of the month to the 3rd of the month).

Cancellation Request

Changing departments, leaving the university, or no longer need a credit card? Create a new entry to request to cancel your card.
