UTRGV Annual Report 2022-2023

March 18, 2024

UTRGV. The Future of Texas. 2022-2023 Annual Report

Dear UTRGV Family,

As our region continues to grow and evolve, so does our university. Never has that notion been more evident than it is today. We have accomplished so much this year, and everything you have done has helped make UTRGV the #1 University in Texas.

While achieving this status has been years in the making, the past year’s efforts have put us over the top. That is why it brings me great pleasure to present to you The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s 2022-2023 Annual Report.

Like all annual reports, this one is filled with stories of individual and shared success, as well as data points and highlights of the past year. But what makes this one special is that it showcases how far we have come in just eight years. This report is an exclamation point in the narrative of our institution’s journey and one that we should all be proud of.

Within this report, you will discover remarkable stories and accomplishments that are shaping the Future of Texas. From student success and academic expansion to research, economic impact, and everything in between, you will see why the 2022-2023 academic year has been one of the most important in UTRGV history.

As a UTRGV student, faculty, or staff member, your personal, educational, and professional goals are impacting us on a much larger scale. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our shared mission. Once again, congratulations on these achievements, and best wishes for a successful year ahead.

Sincerely,

Guy Bailey
President
