Dear Faculty and Staff,
We’ve accomplished a lot this year. During the fall, we were named the #1 University in Texas by Washington Monthly and awarded our 50,000th degree to a UTRGV graduate. We also increased our minimum wage and implemented a 2% merit program for qualifying staff and faculty, marking the eighth straight academic year we have invested in either merit and/or market equity for our employees.
As I’ve said, these milestones are no accident; they prove that we are building something special and deeply rooted in our culture of family, hard work, and gratitude. We know what we have here, and you are why we continue to enjoy this success.
