Staff Announcement from the President

Dear Colleagues:
I am pleased to announce that Samantha Allen has agreed to serve as Chief of Staff for the President, effective immediately. As Chief of Staff, she will work directly with me on all institutional initiatives.
Many of you already know Samantha, who joined UTRGV in March 2021 as our Chief Compliance Officer. Before joining UTRGV, Samantha worked at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for 16 years. She held several roles at Southwestern, including Associate Vice President of Pediatric and Adolescent Programs; Director of the Office of Health System Affairs; and attorney for the university.
Samantha obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University and a law degree from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Please join me in welcoming Samantha to her new role.
We will begin the search for a new Chief Compliance Officer within the next few weeks.
