UTRGV Annual Report 2021-2022

UTRGV The Future of Texas. 2021-2022 Annual Report

March 10, 2023

Dear UTRGV Family,

I am pleased to announce the release of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's (UTRGV) 2021-2022 Annual Report.

In this report, you will find stories from the past year highlighting both individual and shared successes. Regardless of the achievement, each is a testament to our progress since 2015 and a reminder that staying true to our values can yield remarkable results. As always, I am honored and humbled to share it with you.

We Are: The Future of Texas

UTRGV is a growing public institution. With more than 35,000 students and employees, few universities have done as much as we have in a relatively short period. From breaking ground on new educational and healthcare facilities to establishing ground-breaking academic programs and campus life initiatives, The Future of Texas is taking shape right here, and you are building it.

As you may have noticed, this is something we have been saying for a while now. Though it is a title we bestowed upon ourselves, it is one we are earning by pursuing our mission; everything we have done over the past few years to expand educational and professional opportunities has helped prime UTRGV and the entire Rio Grande Valley to lead Texas into a prosperous new era. And in a time where the cost of higher education has increased significantly, we have remained committed to maintaining UTRGV’s status as one of the best-value institutions in the nation, one where students can get an education of the highest quality without mortgaging their future.

Thank You

Again, I invite you to review the 2021-2022 Annual Report and take pride in knowing that these accomplishments are the product of your dedicated efforts. Thank you for continuously working to make The Future of Texas a place where everyone can thrive.

Sincerely,

Guy Bailey
President
