Message From the President: SACSCOC Reaffirmation Update

Dear Campus Community,
I am pleased to report that the SACSCOC Board of Trustees announced today that it has voted to reaffirm UTRGV with no recommendations or follow-up reporting required. This is the outcome every institution hopes for, and this success would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.
As you may recall, we submitted our Compliance Certification Report for our decennial reaffirmation in September 2019. In March 2020, an on-site committee visited our campuses and met with a wide range of administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
Looking ahead, our next report, the Fifth Year Interim Report, will be submitted to SACSCOC in early 2023 and our next decennial reaffirmation report will be submitted in September 2026.
