Dear UTRGV Community,
Today, I am proud to share that UTRGV has once again been named one of America’s Great Colleges To Work For® — the third consecutive year (2024, 2025, 2026) we have earned this designation. What makes this year’s recognition even more meaningful is that, for the first time, UTRGV earned a place on the program’s “Honor Roll,” a distinction reserved for a select group of institutions with exceptionally high survey scores.
A Milestone Made Possible by Our People
This is a significant milestone for our university, and it reflects what I see across the institution: talented people who care deeply about our students, support one another, and believe in the future of the Rio Grande Valley. Our purpose has always been to serve the entire Valley and to be a university that every community across our region can call its own. That begins with the people who make UTRGV what it is every day. Our progress is not attributable to one person or one office; it is the product of our faculty and staff bringing their best to work, day in and day out.
This recognition is especially meaningful because employee feedback is central to the Great Colleges To Work For® program, and I want to thank all faculty and staff who participated. Your feedback matters, and it helps shape the university we are continuing to build together.
Building an Even Greater University for the Valley
While we should certainly celebrate our “Honor Roll” status, we’re not stopping here. We will continue listening, learning, and investing in the people who make UTRGV exceptional because that is how we build an even greater university for our students, our communities, and the entire Rio Grande Valley.
