Course Substitutions

Electronic portal used to record course deviations from a student's degree plan. Graduate Program Coordinators are the only individuals authorized to submit course substitution requests on behalf of students.

The policy

Declaration and Completion of Exit Options

Notes feature in Degree Works to notify DASS of declaration and completion of exit options (capstone requirements). GPCs are the only ones able to enter a note in Degree Works to notify that a student has declared and/or completing an Exit Option Requirement.

Curriculum

The Office of Curriculum and Institutional Assessment provides oversight of the curriculum and curricular academic policy approvals.

Program Development

Office of Institutional Accreditation, Program Development, and Analysis oversees the processes associated with new program development and revisions to existing programs at UTRGV.

 Graduate Program Coordinator

Graduate Program Coordinator serve as key support staff for graduate students, helping them navigate program requirements, meet critical deadlines, and access university resources. They provide guidance on academic policies, assist with enrollment and milestone tracking, and act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administrative offices to ensure a smooth and successful academic journey.
