UTRGV GEAR UP Professional Development
In addition to professional development for school teachers, and other academic instructors, Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) staff will have opportunities to participate in national and state GEAR UP conferences and comprehensive trainings programs including equal access training.
Teacher Professional Development
Access to comprehensive training will be provided to cohort math, science, and ELA teachers on effective research-based on technology-integrated instructional strategies, active student engagement techniques , and effective pedagogical strategies for creating meaningful lessons. Professional development may include the following:
