Our Voice/Nuestra Voice Survey

Since its inception in 1998, the Center conducted the Pulse of the Valley, a survey to gauge community responses to issues and concerns. In Spring 2018, the Center re-started the tradition of providing timely data on issues affecting our region with the RGV Our Voice/Nuestra Voz Survey. This project highlights attitudes and opinions on policy matters affecting RGV residents and serves as a resource for both the business, social service, and academic community in this region.

In April 2018, the Center for Survey Research fielded the first RGV Our Voice/Nuestra Voz Survey, asking RGV residents about their perceptions of border security, NAFTA, immigration policy, civic participation, and satisfaction with community services. Surveys will be conducted across the valley in both Spanish and English by a student team.

The Center for Survey Research and Policy Analysis is planning to field the RGV Our Voice/Nuestra Voz Survey regularly every year. If you are interested in proposing questions for this survey, please contact dongkyu.kim@utrgv.edu.
