About the Center

Who We Are

The Center for Survey Research and Applied Policy Analysis at UTRGV provides applied research expertise, including survey design and administration, data collection, public opinion polling, technical assistance, data analysis, policy analysis and program evaluation to the UTRGV community as well as to local and state stakeholders, such as government agencies, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations

What We Do

Initially established in 1998, the Center for Survey Research and Applied Policy Analysis continues its tradition of studying and reporting on issues of local concern in the Rio Grande Valley and beyond, while providing training opportunities to UTRGV students in research methods and data analysis. In the past, the Center has partnered with community stakeholders to field The Pulse of the Valley, a public opinion survey gauging the impact of national and local issues on the Rio Grande Valley.  We look forward to continuing such partnerships to provide decision makers and scholars with the information they need to craft evidence-based solutions to the policy challenges they face in their communities.
