Welcome Programs

Welcome programs are designed to support students through their transition to UTRGV. Programs support academic life at the university, connect students to campus resources, expose students to numerous student organizations, and introduce students to the UTRGV community.

Vaquero Round-Up is part two of new student orientation for incoming first year students. The mandatory event for entering freshmen provides engaging educational sessions for students to learn about campus resources, success tips, and how to make the most out of their University experience.

Best Week Ever is the official welcome week for all students. It is full of fun, information, and programs that highlight the opportunities available to students at UTRGV and expose them to university life.

Fresh Start Conference is specially designed to teach students how to be successful college students.  All sessions are focused on academic and personal growth.
